Local and world missions

Eight Street Mission for Jesus Christ
We provide monthly financial support and volunteer time to help the hungry and homeless of West Memphis through this ministry. The mission gives shelter, meals, and God's blessings to men and women who are in need.

Good Neighbor Center
The GNC provides food, clothes, and limited financial assistance to meet the needs of people all over Crittenden County. We support the Center by volunteering time, having food drives, and providing monthly financial support.

Foster Children Program
During the Christmas season, we purchase and wrap Christmas gifts for 40 to 50 foster children in Crittenden County. This ministry has grown tremendously. Nearly all of our membership lends a hand to support these kids.

Pennies for Hunger
Giving a penny per meal per day is the goal of our Pennies for Hunger program. This program is especially helpful for parents teaching their children the importance of giving to others in need. The offering is taken twice a year and donated to the Eight Street Mission and the Good Neighbor Center.

Parents' Day Out
Parents' Day Out provides a safe, Christian environment for children age 1 to 5. It is held on Tuesday and Friday during the school year and is open to the community. Enrollment is limited and advance registration is required.

Meals on Wheels
Many of our members volunteer their time to deliver a hot meal to needy residents of Crittenden County. The Meals on Wheels program is sponsored locally by the First United Methodist Church.

World Changers
Each summer our church helps with noontime meals for a team of hungry teenagers. Members of our church, including our youth, prepare the meals and deliver them on site to the work crew. The World Changers are sponsored in West Memphis by First Baptist Church.
